CHAIR KITO  announced that the  first order of business  would be                                                               
HOUSE BILL  NO. 278,  "An Act extending  the termination  date of                                                               
the Board of Certified Real  Estate Appraisers; and providing for

MEGAN  HOLLAND,  Staff,  Representative  Andy  Josephson,  Alaska                                                               
State Legislature, introduced HB  278 on behalf of Representative                                                               
Josephson,  prime sponsor.   She  stated that  the proposed  bill                                                               
would extend  the termination date  for the Board of  Real Estate                                                               
Appraisers by  eight years as  recommended by  Legislative Budget                                                               
and Audit (LB&A).                                                                                                               
                                                                                                                                
CHAIR  KITO stated  public  testimony had  remained  open from  a                                                               
previous meeting on HB 278.   Upon ascertaining that there was no                                                               
one available for public testimony, closed public testimony.

REPRESENTATIVE JOSEPHSON moved to report  HB 278 out of committee                                                               
with  individual  recommendations  and  the  accompanying  fiscal
